Artist's Comments

I have completed another art trade ^_^ *checks that off my to-do-before-christmas-list*

It started out simple, but then at the end I went nuts. And so, I created this pic ^_^ I'm really proud of it.

This is :iconyslee: 's iAntiVirus character, Mishap. She's a mage : D

I had a bit of trouble with the fans, and the glaciers in the back were a first-time thing, but I'm happy with how they turned out.

Hope you like it Yslee ^_^

Well, I learned this method from a friend of mine. It sounds silly, but it gets those exact results with patience.

You start by making a white line going up and down the page (you can turn things later if you like). Then, put a yellow line on each side of the white line (you can do this on separate layers if you want). Put orange lines beside the yellow lines. Put red lines beside them (you can use more variations of the colors to get a really wide set of colors, and of course you can blue on the very outter edge for intense flames like what I have in Zail - Backfire).

Once you have that strange assortment of colors (you should merge layers if you put them on separate layers) you should go to the smudge tool. Bring the colors in, push them out, swirl them, and then start pushing and pulling again. The colors will eventually blend together and you can just start pushing them out in sweeping motions until you get sharp looking flames.

Thanks : D I'm glad the contrast stood out well ^_^
