I am back from vacation that I didn't tell people on DA about ^.^ Whoops!

So, I went down to Georgia to check out my college I talked about in a previous journal, Savannah College of Art and Design. I got to take a tour and learn more about the college. After seeing the city of Savannah, and learning about everything the tour had to offer, I can only say that I want to leave high school even more so than before..... I didn't even think that was possible. I love this place, and I can't wait to go there!

Anyway, I took a few pictures. So I'm gonna tell you guys about my trip ^.^ Hope everyone enjoys : D

First, before we went on the tour, I saw this horse and buggy go by. [link] Thought people might like to see that XD

After that, we approached the Admin Building, where the tour would begin. I have several pics of it. [link] [link] [link] [link] This building used to be a place that traded arms during the Civil War (if my memory serves me correctly )

Across from it was the Security Building, which is open 24/7 to keep the college safe ^.^ [link] [link]

We then hopped on a bus and checked out a few buildings. I didn't take pictures of all of them, so I'll just discuss the ones I didn't :3 First was the building that was used by foreign students. I don't know what for, probably to help them out if they needed it. Anyway, it used to be a church, but it also used to be a prison o.o ..... Creepy, huh? After that, we checked out my building, the Sequential Art Building, AKA Norris Hall. There wasn't much to take pictures of, plus I was too caught up in the tour to take any. But you see, it used to be a shelter for beaten wives and widows..... Only downside so far XDD

Once that was over, we went to the Student Center. This one was really cool! [link] [link] [link] This used to be a Jewish Synagogue, and it was falling apart when the school got it. They really fixed it up, but they kept the architecture it had and just brought a few things into the 21st century. It's one of my favorite buildings.

After the student center, we went to the Photography Building. This was awesome too! I enjoyed taking pictures of this one. [link] [link] [link] I don't know what this used to be, but I do it's badass now!

Interior Design was next. It used to be a train station with trains that transported the cotton collected out in the fields long ago. [link] [link] That's one of our tour guides, Corey. He was a first year student.... I forget what major he was ; Also, these ruins in the back of the building will be made into a museum of some kind. I thought that was interesting. [link]

Upon checking out the bridge [link] we went to the dorms. Almost all of the dorms were originally hotels. This is the only one I know of that was made from the ground up, but they wanted to keep the hotel feel to it. [link] [link] Apparently there are more bikes when it's not vacation time O.O....

The Illustration Major building was the last one we went to. I only took one picture of it, because the building was like the Sequential Art building, pretty uninteresting on the inside. But anyway, it used to be a Jewish Gentleman's Club, and I took a picture of the fireplace for some reason XD [link]

The tour ended, but my family and I went on foot to check out the college bookstore, which was supposed to be awesome. They. Do. Not. Lie. But more on that later. And that almost does it. We checked out the beach before leaving [link] and then headed home the next day. Now I am here, typing up this journal, reminding myself how awesome Savannah is, and wishing I didn't have to go to high school anymore D: ..... Oh well! Hope you enjoyed ^.^
